Most corporations use a year end review to evaluate and provide constructive feedback of it annual performance, recognizing its achievements, successes and failures during the course of the year as it comes to the end. This is a way to understand and measure how effective or ineffective the logistics of a business is running and what needs to be addressed for the year ahead. This same exact concept can be applied as a personalized annual self performance assessment, evaluating all the different areas of life that you set out to change back in the beginning of the year.
As a Life Coach, this is an excellent design template to use as a self reflection tool that allows a person to review their own life over the course of the past 12 months. It can help an individual recognize all the advancements or achievements big or small, along with recognizing all its challenges, strengths, and weaknesses that have been experienced or observed along the way. It allows that person to measure how far they have come and what other areas of growth and work will be needed in order to achieve what it is that they are looking to accomplish in life, personally or professionally.
Here is a Year End Review Check List:
Create A list Of Accomplishments: Write down all the significant achievements you have accomplished throughout the year, no matter how small or big they are.
Evaluate Your Goals: Review the goals you set for yourself at the start of the year and assess which ones you achieved and which ones you didn't. Be honest with yourself about what got in the way of trying to reach certain goals.
Reflect On Your Challenges: Think about the challenges you faced and how you overcame them. What did you learn from these experiences, and how can you use that knowledge moving forward?
Assess your personal growth: Consider how you have grown as a person over the past year. What new skills have you developed, and what areas do you still need to work on?
Plan For The Year Ahead: Use your reflections to set new goals and create an action plan for the upcoming year. Remember to be realistic and specific about what you want to achieve and how you plan to get there.
By taking the time to review the last year thoroughly, it gives you the opportunity to gain valuable data and insights that help recalibrate a new baseline based on those findings for the year ahead. These are the simple building blocks that can help set you up with new goals, help you to overcome other challenges and continue to become a better version of yourself in the year ahead.
